LinkToDM Pricing, Free Plan, and Fit Review for 2026

By Vishal Paliwal, FounderAugust 23, 20268 min read

LinkToDM is a strong fit for creators who want always-on Instagram automation rather than a tool built mainly around individual launches or giveaways. Its current free plan is unusually usable: 2,000 contacts, three creator accounts, and unlimited automations. Paid Pro removes the contact cap and adds more workflow controls.

This is a researched pricing and fit analysis, not a hands-on product review. All plan details were checked against LinkToDM's public pricing and documentation on August 23, 2026. One warning matters before comparing anything: LinkToDM and LinkDM are different products.

LinkToDM is not LinkDM

The names are close enough to cause bad buying decisions. LinkToDM uses linktodm.com and describes itself as an Instagram-first automation platform operated by SpectralHelix Technolabs LLP. LinkDM uses a different site and has its own pricing and product history.

Do not carry a LinkDM free-DM allowance, price, feature, or review across to LinkToDM. If you were searching for the other product, read the separate LinkDM pricing and fit review.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Contact allowance Creator accounts
Free $0 $0 2,000 3
Pro $15/month $126/year, effectively $10.50/month Unlimited 3
Pro+ $25/month $210/year, effectively $17.50/month Unlimited 8
Enterprise Custom Custom Custom Custom

Three automation plan tiers progressing from a limited contact group to an open contact flow and multi-account automation

The annual arithmetic is worth stating clearly. LinkToDM's pricing card promotes Pro as starting at "$10/month," but the same card lists a $126 annual charge. Dividing $126 by 12 gives an effective $10.50 per month. Pro+ displays "$18/month" alongside $210 per year, which works out to $17.50 per month. Treat the annual totals as the amount charged and the smaller number as rounded marketing copy.

The pricing page also conflicts with a homepage FAQ. The pricing table limits Free and Pro to three creator accounts and Pro+ to eight, while the homepage says unlimited Instagram accounts can be connected even on Free. A buyer managing multiple accounts should confirm the checkout entitlement with LinkToDM support rather than assuming the more generous statement applies.

There is a second inconsistency on the pricing page itself. The Free summary card lists features such as Ask to Follow, data collection, and AI replies, while the detailed comparison grid appears to reserve several of them for paid plans. Test the exact feature in a Free workspace or ask support before treating either section as definitive.

The billing unit is contacts, not DMs

LinkToDM's free cap is expressed as 2,000 contacts. That is different from a plan capped at 2,000 sent messages. One contact may move through several steps, while one person commenting across campaigns may or may not be deduplicated depending on the platform's counting rules.

The public pricing page does not clearly explain when a contact is counted, whether the free allowance resets, or how deleted contacts affect the cap. Those details matter if you expect repeat commenters. Before upgrading, ask the vendor these three questions:

  1. Is a contact unique per connected Instagram account or across the workspace?
  2. Does the 2,000-contact free allowance reset monthly or remain a lifetime audience cap?
  3. If a contact is deleted, does capacity become available again?

Pro and Pro+ advertise unlimited contacts, so this ambiguity matters mainly when deciding how long the free plan will last. Compare contact billing with flat monthly and launch-based options in the Instagram DM automation pricing guide.

What the free plan appears to cover

LinkToDM's comparison grid lists unlimited automations on Free, Pro, and Pro+. Core comment-to-DM, chat automation, and story-reply automation appear across the plans. The free tier therefore looks suitable for testing more than one basic workflow instead of a single restricted demo, but the feature inconsistencies above make a live Free-account check part of the buying process.

The paid tiers add the reasons a growing creator would upgrade: unlimited contacts, ask-to-follow, scheduling for the next post, queue controls, AI reply and intent features, data collection and export, branding removal, and priority support. Pro+ expands creator-account capacity and adds API access, which makes it more relevant to teams and agencies.

These are vendor-documented capabilities, not independently measured performance claims. LinkToDM also says it uses Meta's official Graph API. That is the correct integration path, but official API access does not create a guarantee against every delivery, moderation, or account issue. Meta still controls message windows, request-folder placement, and platform enforcement.

The feature that changes the decision

LinkToDM has moved beyond simple keyword delivery. Its current documentation describes a visual flow builder with conditions, custom fields, contact tags, data collection, story triggers, AI intent matching, and external API requests. It also documents Backtrack for recent comments and an opener that earns a tap before later steps.

That breadth makes LinkToDM more suitable than a campaign-only tool when your job is continuous lead handling. A coach who wants every "PRICE" DM tagged, every email collected, and different replies based on follow status will benefit from a persistent flow builder.

The tradeoff is operational weight. More nodes, conditions, fields, and follow-ups create more ways to build a journey that stalls. LinkToDM's own opener documentation notes that every additional ask introduces friction. A visual builder is valuable when you need branching logic, but unnecessary when the job is simply "comment, receive reward, invite friends."

Choose LinkToDM when

  • You want comment, chat, and story automation running every week
  • You need branching flows, tags, custom fields, or lead collection
  • Three creator accounts on one plan are useful
  • A 2,000-contact free allowance is enough to validate your workflow
  • You prefer flat paid pricing with unlimited contacts

For that buyer, LinkToDM deserves a serious trial. The Free plan offers enough room to test the actual workflow before committing to Pro.

Choose a campaign-focused tool when

A campaign-focused product fits better when success is not just "DM sent." Giveaways and creator drops may need a follow gate, a personal referral link for every participant, bonus rewards after successful referrals, a leaderboard, winner picking, and fraud detection.

UnlockDM is intentionally narrower than LinkToDM's general flow builder. It does not offer an open-ended AI chatbot, shared inbox, CRM, story automation, or multi-channel messaging. It focuses on Instagram comment-to-DM campaigns and the mechanics that happen after reward delivery. See the broader comment-to-DM campaign guide if that is the workflow you are building.

Final recommendation

LinkToDM is a good fit for always-on Instagram automation, especially if you can stay within 2,000 contacts while testing. Its paid plans become attractive when you need unlimited contacts and repeat workflows across several accounts. The public pricing is competitive, but confirm the definition of a contact and the account allowance because the vendor's pages currently leave those points unclear or inconsistent.

Choose based on the job, not the longest feature list. LinkToDM is the stronger fit for persistent chat and lead flows. UnlockDM is the stronger fit when the campaign itself needs referral growth, rewards, leaderboards, winner operations, and fraud controls.

FAQ

Is LinkToDM free?

Yes. Its pricing page lists 2,000 contacts, three creator accounts, and unlimited automations on Free. Check the feature grid because several advanced controls require Pro.

How much does LinkToDM Pro cost?

Pro is listed at $15 monthly or $126 billed annually, an effective $10.50 per month. Pro+ is $25 monthly or $210 annually, an effective $17.50 per month.

Are LinkToDM and LinkDM the same?

No. They are separate products. Their pricing, limits, ownership, and features should be evaluated independently.

What does LinkToDM count for billing?

The public plans count contacts. LinkToDM does not clearly define contact resets and deduplication on its public pricing page, so confirm those rules if the free cap affects your decision.

Is this a hands-on LinkToDM review?

No. It is a researched pricing and fit analysis based on the vendor's current public pricing and documentation plus Meta's official Private Replies rules.

UnlockDM is built for discrete Instagram comment-to-DM campaigns where referral links, bonus rewards, leaderboards, winner picking, and fraud checks are part of the outcome. It is deliberately not a general-purpose DM flow builder.

Frequently asked questions

Is LinkToDM free?

LinkToDM's pricing page lists a free plan with 2,000 contacts, three creator accounts, and unlimited automations. Some advanced features are reserved for paid plans, so compare the current feature grid before building a workflow around them.

How much does LinkToDM Pro cost in 2026?

As checked on August 23, 2026, LinkToDM lists Pro at $15 when billed monthly or $126 billed yearly, which works out to $10.50 per month. Pro+ is $25 monthly or $210 yearly, an effective $17.50 per month.

Are LinkToDM and LinkDM the same product?

No. LinkToDM and LinkDM are separate Instagram automation products with different websites, plans, limits, and feature sets. Pricing or reviews for one should not be used to evaluate the other.

What does LinkToDM count for billing?

Its public pricing is expressed in contacts rather than DMs. The free plan lists 2,000 contacts, while Pro and Pro+ list unlimited contacts. The public page does not clearly define contact reset or deduplication behavior, so high-volume buyers should confirm that with the vendor.

Who should choose LinkToDM instead of UnlockDM?

Choose LinkToDM when you want always-on Instagram chat, story, and comment automation with a visual flow builder. Choose a campaign-focused tool such as UnlockDM when referrals, bonus rewards, leaderboards, winner selection, and fraud checks matter more than an ongoing DM workflow.

Still weighing options? We keep every tool side by side — billing model, entry price, free tier and follow-gate support, with the date each was last checked.
