@bhipakshiii posts AI tools and prompts to 14.7K followers. On 24 August 2026 she put up one Reel asking viewers to comment a keyword for her prompt and tool links, and connected it to a single UnlockDM campaign.
By 25 September, 3,419 people had commented to enter, and the campaign had sent 8,503 automatic DMs. That is more entries than a quarter of her follower count, from one post.
This is her real campaign data, shared with her permission. It is one creator and one Reel, so read it as a worked example, not a benchmark.
The campaign in numbers
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| People who commented to enter | 3,419 |
| DMs sent (private replies and follow-ups) | 8,503 |
| Public comment replies | 3,575 |
| Messages that failed to deliver | 119 (under 1%) |
The setup was simple: a comment keyword, an automatic reply, a follow check before the reward, and a DM with the links. She did not answer a single comment by hand.
When people arrived
The first two days did most of the work, but not all of it.
| Period | Entries | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Launch day (24 Aug) | 1,062 | 31% |
| First 48 hours | 1,540 | 45% |
| First week | 1,946 | 57% |
| After the first week | 1,473 | 43% |
After the first week the Reel settled at roughly 40 to 100 new entries a day, and it was still bringing in 60 or more a day in its fifth week. Reels keep surfacing through search, shares, and the Explore feed long after launch.
The practical lesson: leave the campaign running. If she had switched it off after the launch spike, she would have missed more than four in ten of her entries. Our Black Friday timing guide found the same long tail across a wider set of campaigns.
Lesson 1: size the campaign from reach, not followers
It is easy to size a campaign by follower count and assume 14.7K followers means a few hundred entries. This one drew 3,419. A Reel is shown mostly to people who do not follow you yet. Hers had a maximum reach of 1.8M, and that, not the follower count, decided the volume.
So when you pick an unlock cap, think about how far the Reel could travel, not how many people follow you today. If a post has a real chance of taking off, choose a cap with headroom, and keep an eye on the campaign during the first 48 hours, when nearly half of the entries arrive. Adding capacity is quick, but only if you notice it is filling.
Lesson 2: decide what the follow gate is for
Her campaign asked people to follow before they got the links. A follow gate turns a comment into a follower, which is how an account grows from a single Reel. For a creator whose Reels regularly reach far beyond their audience, that is often worth more than the reward delivery itself.
A gate also asks for one more step, and some people will not take it. Decide what the campaign is for before launch:
- Growing followers: keep the gate. Everyone who gets the reward is now following you.
- Getting the link to as many people as possible: turn it off, and everyone who comments gets the reward straight away.
Lesson 3: referral links need a push
The campaign had referral links switched on, with a bonus at three referrals. None were used.
Referral rewards work when the DM gives people a clear reason to share, a reward worth sharing for, and a reminder. A bonus that is mentioned once, in small print, gets ignored. With 3,419 entrants, even one in ten passing the link to a single friend could have added over 300 more. Our referral giveaway guide covers how to set the reward and the message so people actually share.
What made it work
Three things are specific to her campaign, and worth copying:
- A reward the audience already wanted. Prompt and tool links are exactly what people who follow an AI-tools account come for.
- One clear action. The Reel asked for one comment, with one keyword, for one thing. Our guide to keyword calls to action explains why that matters.
- No manual work. 3,419 people is far more than anyone can answer by hand. Every reply went out automatically, including the ones that arrived weeks later while she was busy making new posts.
More campaign results
- 702 entries on launch day: a product launch with a Hebrew keyword, and why launch campaigns spike and stop.
- One campaign per product: a Shopee affiliate creator, and why a product-name keyword beat a generic one.

UnlockDM runs comment-to-DM campaigns like this one, with an optional follow gate and referral rewards, priced per campaign instead of per month. If you are planning a Reel that could travel, set the cap with room to grow.
