Referral loop
Also called: Giveaway referral link, Referral giveaway
A referral loop gives every campaign participant a personal link and rewards them with a bonus when friends join through it, so participants recruit participants.
The mechanic
After someone receives the main reward by DM, they also get a personal referral link. Each friend who joins through that link is counted to them. Reaching a set number of friends unlocks a bonus reward, and a leaderboard can rank the top referrers for a giveaway.
What makes it work
The bonus has to be worth sharing, and the friend count has to feel reachable: one or two friends, not ten. A referral is only useful when it is counted honestly, so referred entries need checking for duplicate and throwaway accounts. UnlockDM scores each referral for fraud before it counts.
